Understanding Odds Formats

Different regions and bookmakers use different odds formats. This converter helps you translate between the most common formats:

  • Decimal Odds: Used in Europe, Australia, and Canada. Represents the total return including the stake (e.g., 2.50).
  • Fractional Odds: Traditional format in the UK. Represents the profit relative to the stake (e.g., 3/2).
  • American Odds: Used in the US. Positive numbers (+150) show how much profit you'd make on a $100 stake. Negative numbers (-200) show how much you need to stake to make $100 profit.
  • Implied Probability: The probability of an outcome implied by the odds (e.g., 40%).
